For you, on the front line — at a Pant return point or the Garderobe (cloakroom) desk. You scan the guest (and, for cloakroom, the hanger) on the scanner / POS device, and Beats move automatically. This guide is the whole job in three short flows.
You take reusable items back and refund the deposit, or you hang coats and charge the cloakroom fee. Everything is a scan; the system handles the money and stops mistakes.
Scanner / POS app · signed in for your vendor (bar / booth / desk)Before your shift: your device must be signed in for the right vendor. If it asks for a key, get the lcap_… vendor API key from your admin (they create it in FMS under Vendors → API keys). One key per device/vendor.
A guest brings back a Pant item (e.g. a reusable cup). You scan them, confirm, and their deposit goes straight back to their Beats wallet.
Ask the guest to open Min pant in their app and show the QR.
Scan the guest QR on your device.
Pick the item and quantity being returned, and confirm.
Hand the deposit back.
The screen shows the refund, e.g. +20 Beats returned. The item drops off their outstanding list.
Don’t worry about mistakes: scanning the same item again refunds nothing (“no outstanding deposit”). Returning fewer than they bought is fine — the rest stays outstanding. You can never refund more than the guest actually owes.
At drop-off you scan the guest and the hanger. The rental fee is taken from their Beats and the hanger is tied to them.
Scan the guest (their Festival-ID / app QR).
Scan the hanger (its code / QR), then confirm.
Give the guest their hanger tag.
The screen shows the fee taken, e.g. −30 Beats, and “hanger bound”.
The device protects you: if the guest hasn’t enough Beats, it declines with no charge and no hanger bound — ask them to top up first. If a hanger is already in use, it blocks the second bind (no double charge).
At pickup you scan the hanger to release it. There is no refund — the fee was a rental.
Scan the hanger (or type its code).
Hand the coat over. Done.
“Hanger released.” Balance unchanged — no refund on pickup.
Scanning a hanger that’s already released, or one you don’t recognise, does nothing and shows no error — safe to try.
